Francesco Bagnaia is nog zo'n talent dat ontdekt is door de bekende academie van Valentino Rossi. Tot nu toe heeft de Italiaan tijdens zijn MotoGP-carrière alleen op Ducati-motoren gereden. In 2019 en 2020 kwam hij uit voor het satellietteam Pramac. In 2021 sloot hij zich aan bij het fabrieksteam en dat bracht hem naar een nieuw niveau. Nadat hij tweede werd in 2021, werd hij MotoGP-wereldkampioen in 2022 en 2023.
