RULES FOR VISITORS

Save yourself an inconvenience at the entrance. Here's a list of things to leave at home when visiting the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. 

WHAT CAN'T YOU TAKE WITH YOU?

  • Bags over 20-litre capacity
  • Glass bottles and glass containers
  • BBQs
  • Restricted and illegal substances
  • Offensive weapons or items that are deemed dangerous, offensive or unsuitable
  • Drones or remote-controlled aircraft
  • Step ladders or any similar item which may obstruct the view of other attendees
  • Lasers fireworks/pyrotechnics
  • Any items which might be subject to ambush marketing
  • Smoke canisters 
  • Tents and shelters 
  • Four-wheeled carry carts (doesn't include those used to carry children, but they must be empty at the gate)
  • Powered scooters (excluding disability scooters)/ hoverboards 
  • Electric cycles 
  • Parasols
  • Excessive alcohol, although you will be permitted to bring a reasonable amount into the venue for personal consumption
  • No animals, only Registered Assistance Dogs

WHAT CAN YOU TAKE WITH YOU?

  • Food and drinks: Silverstone has a very friendly policy and allows you to bring in alcoholic drinks, but only in quantities you can consume yourself. 
  • Strollers
  • You can take photos and videos on the circuit, but you are not allowed to use professional equipment. In practice, you don't have to be afraid of taking a quality camera with a telephoto lens and tripod to the circuit; however, you might have a problem with, say, a large professional camera. The footage you record is for your personal use only: it cannot be sold.
